10-11 Why the Web?
The web can be the base for building a career in movies if approached strategically. This workshop will lay out the terrain and offer strategies for beginning filmmakers as well as experienced ones on how to use the web to simultaneously learn to craft their product for their audience and make money while they do it. To succeed, filmmakers have to think like creatives and like businesspeople.

11-12 Production Values

Web production doesn't have to be expensive to look professional. This workshop offers a few quick tips for setting up your lighting, using your camera and working with actors so that your get footage that shines.

12-1 The Invisible Edit
With desktop editing, many folks cut their own films. This workshop/panel gives you a set of tips on take the amateur out of your cut. Then Moni Boyce of Greenhouse Studios will talk about how to budget for professional post if you do have the money.

1-2 LUNCH BREAK

2-3 Upload or Die
Anna Wenger, head of physical production at Funny Or Die, will talk about making comedy for the web and is bringing some women to share their success stories. including Allison Hord, Betsy Kock, Christin Trogan, Juliet Seniff, and Lauren Palmigiano. A must for anyone thinking that the web comedy is the way to go.

3-4 Distribution Options
Many people still look to traditional distribution models for their short films. This workshop takes a look at how these are faring in today's market along with the tools available on the web for turning a profit on content.

4-5 Ducks in a Row
This last panel presents an array of tools to help plan, manage and track your work so that you can go about the business of making the money off the web for your films.

Diahnna Nicole Baxter co-created, co- wrote and starred in the first series to ever win an Emmy Award for the web, SATACRACY 88. She was nominated again in 2008 and brings the knowledge of making revolutionary content on a shoestring budget.


Cindy Marie Jenkins writes and consults for social good as Director of Online Outreach with Social | Impact Consulting, a startup based in Los Angeles. Social | Impact offers a full suite of professional consulting services in four core areas: fundraising, social media strategy, community outreach, and research. She aims to inspire and empower you in how to use social media effectively for just 15 minutes a day.


Damian Pellicionne is the head of Stella Entertainment and has starred, produced and cast over fifteen successful Internet productions.


Anna Wenger has had a varied career in video, film and television. She is currently the head of physical production at Funny or Die.


Michelle Clay is an editor with experience cutting for films, television, and music videos, most recently working for TV Guide Network. She also penned a script that won Best Screwball Comedy in the 2006 Broad Humor Film Festival. 


After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film, Ally Hord hasspent the last 6 years in development, production, and post for various reality and scripted TV projects in NYC and LA. Currently pursuing comedy writing and directing, she is right at home producing for Funny or Die, where comedy dreams* come true. (*At least internet comedy dreams that can be done for a small budget.)


Originally from Plano, Texas, and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Betsy Koch began her career in the entertainment industry at the Endeavor agency where she worked in both the motion picture literary and talent departments. She transitioned into development and production working for writer/director Peter Berg at Film 44, then helped develop a full feature/TV slate as Robert Rodriguez's creative executive at Troublemaker Studios in Austin, TX. In late 2010, Betsy was hired as a producer at Funny or Die, and continues to live out her comedy dreams producing sketches/videos. Outside of Funny or Die, she co-produces a monthly comedy show called the Super Serious Show. And she likes sharks, ALF, and 90's hip hop.


Christin Trogan is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she studied creative writing and film theory. Her career began at NFL Films, where she was able to travel extensively as a cinematographer's assistant and eventually associate producer on various film and digital projects. After spending a year at ICM in Los Angeles, Christin transitioned to Funny or Die, where she has produced over 200 videos in less than three years. Her secret dream is to be an NFL Quarterback, but barring that is thrilled to be part of the most collaborative, creative environment a comedy fanatic could hope for.


Juliet Seniff is a branded producer at FOD and oversees video content production for brands and entertainment properties. She previously worked in comedy casting, for a TV director and at the William Morris Agency in both LA and NYC.


Lauren Palmigiano has been a writer/director at Funny or Die since it's inception in 2007. Over the past four years she has created many internet hits and some internet misses. Her first short film "Cried Suicide" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2010. Lauren's favorite internet videos are ones that feature inter-species affection.
